Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices. Since its founding, Signature has received over 100 awards and in 2014 became the first New York theatre to receive the Regional Tony Award.

Our season’s productions include BAD KREYOL by Dominique Morisseau, GRANGEVILLE by Samuel D. Hunter and EURYDICE by Sarah Ruhl.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Management department, the Company Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as liaison between artists, management, and production personnel for Signature Theatre’s 2024.25 Season.
Draft and administer actor contracts and correspond with artist representatives.
Provide onsite coverage at all rehearsals and performances, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to the ongoing needs of each company.
Manage travel, accommodations, and other special needs as they arise.
Process all house seat and company ticket requests and manage ticket inventory in conjunction with Marketing and the Box Office.
Process and distribute weekly company payroll and generate union reports.
Track expenses and reconcile company management budget.
Communicate Signature policies to the company.
Organize company events including opening and closing nights, meet & greets, tech dinners and other special events as needed.
Plan, source and distribute opening night gifts.
Perform other additional duties as assigned by Associate General Manager and General Manager.
Desired Experience
At least two years of Company Manager experience or experience in a General Management office required.
In-depth knowledge of the Off-Broadway community and theatrical unions (AEA, SDC, USA, 802).
Strong team player who works well with others.
Have a positive and proactive approach and demeanor.
Possess a great attention to detail with strong organizational, written, and interpersonal skills.
Amazing interpersonal communication with company and relaying to Signature administration.
Easily adaptable and levelheaded to ever changing circumstances.
Problem-solver and quick with solutions to issues.
Detailed use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Experience with Tessitura a plus.
Great sense of humor.
The Seasonal Company Manager role requires being onsite on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
This is a full-time, seasonal, and exempt position. The weekly salary is $1,200.00. Accrued sick pay and accrued personal paid time off benefits are included.

This is a full-time, seasonal (temporary), non-union position with a salary of $1,200.00/wk.
Development projects begin on September 3, 2024.
BAD KREYOL begins rehearsals on September 10, 2024.
GRANGEVILLE begins rehearsals on January 7, 2025.
EURYDICE begins rehearsals April 15, 2025.
Candidates should have availability through mid-July 2025.
