Bonstone is now recruiting for the position of North American Sales Representative, reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The successful candidate will manage existing customers, develop new customer relationships, and grow profitable sales across the defined territory and customer base. The Salesperson will develop and execute a comprehensive sales channel strategy that drives expansion of the customer base, improves sales revenue and profit, and enhances market recognition of the Bonstone brands.
The ideal candidate has experience in the fabrication stone or adhesives markets, is a team player with effective interpersonal skills, and an open, collaborative style. Resourceful and results driven, the Sales Representative is an entrepreneurial self-starter who can operate with a passion to succeed. This is an office-based position in the Chicagoland area that will require some overnight travel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage key relationship activities and initiatives with our customers at all levels, across different sales channels.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for our existing product lines that will meet or exceed the company’s sales goals.
- Engage with existing customers to strengthen incremental revenue growth through new product development, applications projects, and new commercial opportunities.
- Respond to customer enquiries providing technical information, price quotations, promotional and marketing materials, product availability and samples.
- Execute customer nurturing follow up activities, including additional phone and e-mail contact, sample follow up and encouraging ongoing collaboration.
- Provide technical information and applications support for existing and new customers.
- Coordinate with different functional areas such as Marketing, R&D, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Management to ensure a positive and profitable customer experience.
- Deliver comprehensive reports on business performance versus budget, activity levels and initiatives driving results.
- Participate in industry trade shows, association gatherings, and sales meetings as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
Requirements:
- Must have some type of construction materials experience, preferably stone fabrication.
- Five years of relevant sales and technical experience, preferably at a national level.
- Proven results working with and growing an independent wholesale distribution network in the building materials sector.
- Experience in stone fabrication, specialty adhesives, or construction materials markets strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
