We have an exciting full-time opportunity! We are looking for an outstanding, compassionate person for our Medical Assistant position. Must be friendly, with a great attitude and professional demeanor, prompt, and courteous, with a passion for the wellness and aesthetic industry. Must convey a positive image in clinic at all times.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Assist Physicians, PAs, NPs, and RNs with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
- Assist with appointment scheduling and chart management.
- Provide information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization and values of the Practice.
- Continually demonstrate the safety procedures for the clinic and utilize universal precautions where appropriate.
- Display an image of personal professional competence, including knowledge and adherence to the philosophy of continuous quality improvement.
Essential functions:
Fulfills patient care responsibilities
o Checking and reviewing schedules and organizing patient flow
o Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room
o Assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, preparing for exam, etc.
o Assisting physicians/PAs/NPs/Nurses with various procedures
o Relaying instructions to patients/families
o Answering calls and providing pertinent information
Fulfills clerical responsibilities
o Sending/receiving Patient medical records
o Obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.
o Completing forms/requisitions as needed
o Assisting with appointment scheduling
o Managing charges to ensure information is completed and filed appropriately
Fulfills environmental responsibilities
o Setting up equipment according to protocols
o Cleaning exam/procedure rooms between patients’ visits to maintain infection control.
o Assisting the nurse in ordering, sorting, storing supplies
o Restocking exam/procedure rooms
Fulfills organizational responsibilities
o Respecting/promoting patients’ rights
o Responding appropriately to emergency codes
o Sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisor promptly.
o Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
- Ability to take vitals (BP, Pulse, Temp, O2 saturations, Weight)
- Ability to call in medication to pharmacy
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Education: High school or equivalent preferred
Language: English; Spanish (preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (required)
- Medical Assistant Certificate (required)
