Program Description
Amethyst Behavioral Health, LLC is a Social Rehabilitation Facility (SRF) State licensed 12-bed, 18-month residential program for residents who are transitioning from local psychiatric facilities to a lower level of care. Residents learn daily living, vocational and social skills and receive individual therapy (1x per week) and group counseling daily.
Qualifications
Must pass a background check through the Department of Health Care Services, Community Care Licensing, CCLD, (Guardian) program pre-employment. Masters level (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, LPHA) Licensed clinician who may have the ability to supervise other clinicians, however, supervision is not a requirement of employment. Strong knowledge of MEDI-CAL, (preferred, but willing to train) mental health and SUD residential experience with the ability to provide program oversight in the absence of the Chief Administrative Officer, have strong clinical background with MH/SUD and perform clinical duties as required per Contract with Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) as well as Community Care Licensing and MEDICAL legal requirements. If in recovery, there is no history of alcohol and/or drug abuse for a period of 10+ years of continuous recovery before employment at ABH. Clinical Therapist shall provide 30-hours of direct care services per week through individual counseling, groups and various other program activities. Program Director position requires the following qualifications be met for employment:
At least 18 years of age; Required Health Screening, TB clearance, must meet criminal background clearance from Community Care Licensing's background system (Guardian); First Aid Certificate.
Must maintain current annual TB test for employment
Shall be on the premises the number of hours necessary (40) to manage and adhere to all State, County Tittle 22 and Title 9 regulations and maintain compliance with all laws and Federal Regulations
(5+) year full-time experience in a community program that serves residents who have a chronic mental illness
Ensure provision of the services identified in each resident’s needs and services plan
Effective Treatment following the SMART procedure
Staff Trainings and participation in regular program and County meetings
Strong Behavioral Intervention Skills
Strong Positive Reinforcement Skills
Ability to handle crisis with ease
Ability to be flexible in job requirements and
Professional and Calming Behavior when working with staff and residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and strategic management of residential treatment program services. This position requires ongoing collaboration with counseling and administrative staff and assesses, develops, implements and evaluates program philosophy, goals, objectives, and treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities will include oversight of all areas related to clinical, regulatory, staff development and resident satisfaction needs, providing ongoing communication and collaboration with outside agencies and referral sources to assure their satisfaction and continued associations, collaborating with the Chief Administrative Officer to develop, implement and monitor program stability and community involvement. Significant knowledge of CFR 42, Titles 9, 22 and 42, HIPAA, OSHA, Health and Safety Codes and MEDICAL. The Program Director must have healthy communication skills, strong attention to detail and a skill set to collaborate daily with the Chief Administrative Officer. Additional Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure arrangements for residents to attend available community programs and activities
Clinical Documentation
Medical Billing
Crisis Intervention Skills
Group Therapy (2x’s daily)
Individual Therapy (1x per week per resident)
Have knowledge and ability to follow applicable laws and regulations and
Crisis Intervention (as needed).
Quality of Work
Clinical Therapist is responsible for clinical oversight of the program and must maintain all credentialing requirements, oversee resident activities and implement and integrate program services. Additionally, daily, monthly, quarterly and annual plans and reports must be submitted to the Chief Administrative Officer and continual communication is maintained.
