Job Description
Purpose and scope of role:
The Production Manager plays a leading role in managing work in process (WIP) product and employees. This role provides support to operations. The Production Manager position is full time non-exempt position. Accessible by phone early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
This position is non-exempt, requires a 40-hour workweek and overtime as needed.
Working hours: 7:30AM – 4:00PM
Lunch: 12:00PM – 12:30PM
Responsibilities and Authority:
Production Manager has the following responsibilities/authority:
- Manage and coordinate the production department to meet scheduled completion dates of work orders.• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures of the factory as needed.• Facilitates clarification of documentation for product builds.• Monitors production related equipment so maintenance is up to date, and execute maintenance work orders as needed.• Responsible for overseeing assembler housekeeping in the transformer/power supply departments.• Manage and oversee FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ESD (Electro Static Discharge) programs within the power supply and transformer departments.• Manage the hiring of temporary employees to meet capacity requirements within the production department.• Manage employee conflict within the production department, andfacilitate a positive working relationship with other departments.• Manage and control the floor stock requirements of production, andcoordinate these efforts with purchasing and other departments.• Management of production variance.• Manage and minimize non-conforming materials and scrap within the production department. • Manage the safety requirements (OSHA, IIPP, etc.) within the production department.• Management of time and attendance of the production department.• Assists with defining and implementing the physical layout of the power supply/transformer department.• Assists with translating for any power supply/transformer assemblers when needed/possible.• Responsible for work traceability

Organizational Relationship:
Production Manager reports to Director of Operations. Production Manager manages the Leads (Lead Power Supply Assembler, Lead Transformers Assembler, and Lead Final Process Assembler).
Job Competency / Qualifications
Education and Training:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, changes in temperature/humidity; moving mechanical parts and vibration; frequently required to stand, walk 4-8hours/day, talk, hear, observe, type, see, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; bend or stoop, reach with hands and arms; and frequently use both feet and move them forward/backward and side to side; sit for extended periods of time; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and continuously reach and twist, including side-to-side movements; carry or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
Good mechanical ability. Advanced knowledge of color code, soldering techniques and component I.D. Ability to use and train employees on proper and safe use of hand tools. Attention to detail to ensure electronic components fit and function as needed. Ability to provide daily guidance to up to thirty (30) employees included but not limited to: Assemblers and Leads. Ability to provide feedback on team member performance, handle performance issues, and hold annual employee performance reviews. Ability to speak Spanish. Ability to build effective relationships, whether internally. Effective presentation skills. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Strong IT skills: ability to use the computer and business-related applications. Ability to work under pressure and still produce result. Ability to be flexible. Demonstrated business acumen. Managerial Experience:
Five (5) years of manufacturing experience. Previous employee supervision experience preferred; OR Any combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties successfully and meet business objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,860.00 - $110,000.00 per year
