Join our team as a Facility Manager at The Shul-Chabad Lubavitch, a longstanding nonprofit synagogue and community center. In this role, you will oversee the management of two buildings, totaling nearly 40,000 square feet. Your responsibilities will include managing property maintenance, coordinating building events, overseeing inventory control, handling tech setup, and managing purchasing. Responsibilities:
- Building Operations:
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Manage and supervise custodial staff.
- Perform and oversee minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Identify and promptly address neglected maintenance issues.
- Plan and execute building improvement projects.
- Implement and manage security protocols
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Liaise with external contractors for major repairs and projects (e.g., ceiling leaks, painting, roofing).
- Oversee and ensure the completion of work by security, IT, fire equipment, fire alarm, elevator service companies, pest control, etc. Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other service providers for maintenance and repairs.
Inventory and Purchasing Management:
- Maintain inventory of kitchen, office, facility, and event supplies.
- Streamline procurement processes and manage relationships with suppliers.
Tenant & Community Relations:
- Serve as the primary contact for tenants, addressing facility-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with community members and external groups using the facilities for events and programs.
Event Support:
- Execute the set-up and clean-up for events, making sure all equipment and spaces are ready for use.
- Coordinate with event organizers to address facility-related needs or issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property/building management, maintenance, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors and staff.
- Hands-on experience with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with security protocols and IT management preferred.
- Physical capability to lift objects as needed for event setup and inventory management.
- Flexible scheduling is required, with the ability to work extended hours during busy periods and accommodate the organization's needs during peak seasons.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
