As a Receiving Agent for our The Forth, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments of goods and supplies, ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel's receiving department. Working within a prestigious hospitality environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing deliveries, and supporting various hotel departments with their procurement needs.
Responsibilities:
● Receive incoming shipments of goods, supplies, and materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders, packing slips, or invoices, and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
● Inspect incoming goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies, documenting any issues and notifying the appropriate personnel for resolution or replacement.
● Safely and securely store received items in designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization to facilitate easy access and inventory management.
● Maintain accurate records of received goods, inventory levels, and stock movements using computerized inventory management systems, and reconcile inventory discrepancies as needed.
● Coordinate with hotel departments to fulfill their procurement needs, ensuring timely delivery of requested items and accurate billing and documentation.
● Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding delivery schedules, product specifications, and any issues or concerns related to received goods, fostering positive relationships and efficient procurement processes.
● Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling and storing goods, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with food safety standards for perishable items.
● Maintain cleanliness and functionality of receiving equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
● Collaborate with other members of the receiving department, as well as other hotel departments, to ensure smooth operation of receiving processes and timely fulfillment of procurement requests.
● Prepare and maintain accurate records of receiving activities, including receiving logs, inspection reports, and inventory adjustments, and provide regular reports to management as needed.
Required Experience:
· Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
· Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures, as well as basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately verify quantities and quality of received goods.
· Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate receiving equipment safely and effectively, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if required).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the business.

Working Conditions/Environment
· The person having this position may have to sit down for one (1) hour per day, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
· Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
· The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
