Our Design Engineers play an important role in our Company and are responsible for the MEP design for our HVAC-R installation projects and ensure they remain within budget, are completed on time and meet the expectations of our customers. Our Design Engineer assures the scope of work they are designing is code compliant, accurate and designed to Hunter-Davisson, Inc. standards. Therefore, they must represent Hunter-Davisson, Inc. well by adhering to our high standards for excellent customer service, professionalism and consistently upholding our mission, vision and values.
This position works closely with Sales Staff, other Design Engineers on staff and Project Managers to ensure superior communication of the design intent for new construction, tenant improvements and HVAC-R equipment replacement. In this position, we are seeking someone with an interest in growing, learning and developing their skills in a positive and engaging work environment.

Generate, review and assist with Sequence of Operations.

Perform equipment selection.

Request and review equipment submittals.

Assemble packages of plans, submittals, points list, panel termination drawings and specifications for permit & construction.

Ability to draft own design in AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Provide technical support for other HD Design Engineers.

Oversee, mentor and work with less experienced Engineers. Assist in their overall development in a team setting.

Develop standard details.

Provide feedback to HD Sales team for scope of work and estimating.

Knowledgeable of and able to apply current building, mechanical and energy code.

Cooperate in all aspects of company safety program.

5 or more years of relevant experience in the Commercial HVAC industry.

5 or more years of relevant design and engineering.

MS Office proficiency.

AutoCAD & REVIT experience
