Lumin Health is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and client-centered Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of the care team in our psychopharmacology outpatient model designed to treat treatment refractory depression among other psychiatric disorders. Based out of our flagship Newton Center location, you will coordinate and participate in care for clients as they prepare for and undergo ketamine and esketamine treatments, engage in initial client assessments, and provide follow-up care as needed. As a key point of contact for Lumin Health to our clients, you will enhance their experiences before, during, and after treatment. Working closely with our team of MDs, NPs, PAs, and medical assistant, you will contribute to providing best-in-class care for multiple clients each day.
This role is for in person 30 hours per week. As the clinic expands its hours and days of operation, there may be opportunities to adjust the schedule.
The salary range for this 30 hour/week role is $93,000 to $148,200. Total compensation (medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, CE days, workers comp, malpractice insurance, educational benefit, licensing) as approximately $160,00 to $190,000.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of ketamine and esketamine treatments, ensuring adherence to established protocols, guidelines, and safety measures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients prior to treatment, evaluating their suitability for Lumin’s treatment programs
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs and treatment goals
- Establish a therapeutic rapport with patients, fostering trust, empathy, and open communication
- Educate patients and their families about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Monitor clients closely during treatment sessions, assessing their responses to medication and managing any adverse reactions that may arise.
- Adjust treatment parameters and dosage as needed, based on clients' individual responses and clinical judgment.
- Provide ongoing support and education to patients and their families regarding the treatment process, potential side effects, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with the broader care team team, including MDs, medical assistants, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive and seamless care delivery to clients
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, sharing treatment progress, concerns, and recommendations for further interventions or adjustments.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR), documenting treatment plans, progress notes, medication administration, and any other pertinent information
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements regarding documentation, patient confidentiality, and record-keeping.
- Act as a resource and provide guidance to medical assistants and other support staff in delivering patient care.
- Stay current with the latest developments in psychiatric research, pharmacology, and treatment modalities through continuous learning and professional development.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing clinical education programs within Lumin Health.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry or Mental Health
- Current certification and licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Prescriptive authority and DEA registration for controlled substances
- Experience and expertise in psychiatric care, preferably with ketamine and esketamine treatments
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions within the scope of practice
- Effective communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical software
