Reporting to the Program Manager, the Direct Support Professional is responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities to learn, grow and become more independent. The position supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have a quality of life and promotes health, safety, and well-being. Serving as an advocate in communicating individuals’ needs and goals the main duties include helping individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting them to appointments or other social outings, and helping individuals to implement the safety precautions learned in their respective environments.
