The Lions Eye Bank of Eastern Virginia, a not-for-profit transplant agency, is seeking a Donor Coordinator
The primary responsibilities of this position are to receive death referrals, screen medical records of potential donors, approach families for donation authorization, perform medical social history interviews, and arrange procurement of tissue, and perform initial donor database entry of donor records. Employee performs all duties so as not to infringe on OSHA rules, FDA rules, EBAA standards, State of Virginia law, and U.S. Federal law. Employee performs other duties for which they are qualified, essential to the continued operation of the eye bank and the culture of team work that drives success.
This is a remote position, and requires employees to provide the following:
- Reliable computer that meets all requirements for running Microsoft 365 Business Standard. Mac is preferred but not required
- Widescreen monitor and/or second monitor
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a quiet/private working area
- Cell phone with reliable cell phone service
Application Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education with a science or healthcare concentration and/or twelve months relevant work experience
- Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Well practiced prioritization, deductive reasoning, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with databases, word processing, and spreadsheets, and medical terminology

Position Available:
Part time (minimum 24hrs/week) through full time (40hrs/week) available. Openings available for weekday 3pm-11pm shift. Overnight shifts (11pm-7am) may be required as needed.
Compensation:
Training Pay: $16/hr
Pay Range once trained: $18-$23/hr
