Job description
Role:
Assistant Site Director of Expanded Learning Program
Start date:
2024-2025 School Year (July 2024)
About the Organization:
Libertas College Prep is a charter middle school in Leimert Park in South Los Angeles. The school is founded on the belief that all students, regardless of their previous academic performance, can thrive and be successful in a rigorous, structured, and supportive environment. Libertas College Prep has an intensive focus on literacy and utilizes a nontraditional starting point of 4th grade to ensure that all students receive literacy support through the transition from “learning to read” in third grade to “reading to learn” in fourth grade and beyond.
The school opened in August 2015 and serves a student population predominantly of lower-income, first generation college-going students. Libertas was awarded a Top School by Innovate Schools through USC’s Rossier School of Education and a California Distinguished School for 2020 and 2021. Tuition-free and open to all, Libertas College Prep serves any student in grades 4-8 who is ready to commit to the hard work of climbing the mountain to college graduation. We enroll students through a public admissions lottery and any student may apply and attend.
