Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. Your role will involve planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning. Hours needed are 8:30AM to 5:30 PM M-F.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent thinking
- Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their needs are met and their progress is tracked
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's development and address any concerns or challenges
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and collaborative learning community
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and teach appropriate social skills
- Assess children's learning through observation, documentation, and assessment tools
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development
Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Experience working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to educate young children in various subjects including math, language arts, science, etc.
- Knowledge of working with children on the autism spectrum or other special needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment
- Proficiency in curriculum development and adapting activities to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to plan and organize lessons and activities that engage children and promote learning
