Navajo Express is searching for a talented Orientation and Safety Instructor to work at its Denver, Colorado Terminal. Reporting directly to the Director of Safety, this position will be responsible to educate and orientate all of Navajo Express’s new and existing driving force aligned by the company’s safety and compliance strategy. This position requires the ability to work with all levels of the organization, communicate effectively, and have a thorough understanding of DOT regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a classroom orientation setting
- Communicate and articulate your message for all learning types
- Promoting safety and regulatory compliance
- Be able to perform road test as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensuring proper document controls
- Educating internal staff and drivers on HOS regulations
- Qualifications
- At least 2 years of trucking experience
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred
- Able to communicate well in a classroom educator setting
- Must be highly organized able to maintain structure and a timely schedule
- Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Ability to respond to multiple priorities
- Extensive knowledge of FMSCA regulations
