This is an entry-level position for high school graduates who have successfully completed the required industry certification at the Lakeland Electric Power/ Energy Academies or Traviss Electricity Program. Positions will be allocated in the utility to prepare future workers where an identified need exists and skills and student goals match. Work is evaluated for overall effectiveness and adherence to safe workplace practices.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

Graduate from Lakeland Electric Power/Energy Academies or Traviss Technical College Electricity Program with required industry certification.

Recommendation from the Lakeland Electric Academies Instructor, Traviss Electricity Program Instructor, or Lakeland Electric Job Shadowing Program Mentor.

To obtain a full-time Utility Worker position, you must serve six (6) months as a part-time Utility Worker or have six (6) months of experience as an intern or apprentice in the electrical industry.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies necessary for success in the target position may be considered.
Required: A Resumé is required in order to be considered for this position.
