Summary:
Assist in all daily activities for the Communications and Marketing Department.
Essential Functions:
● Model and promote the organization’s mission, values, and guiding principles through positive attitude, appropriate appearance, words, and actions; and comply with the organization’s policies and procedures
● Website: Create content updates, and the creation of new pages
● E-communications: Develop and/or assist in the development, writing, and distribution of all agency outreach materials, including the weekly e-newsletter, to support the branding, awareness, fundraising, and advocacy of the agency.
● Collateral: Daily coordination and creation of collateral needs for all departments
● Provide regular performance updates and analysis of social media, website, and all other activities: recommend future actions based on results
● Stay abreast of trends and new opportunities for communications and fundraising in social media, e-communications, and website design
● Assist with social media and website management under the direction of the Communications Director
● Assist with video editing as directed by Communications Director
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are generally Monday through Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM.
Required Education and Experience
· Basic knowledge in Graphic Design and Development
· BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
Knowledge and Skills:
● Basic graphic design skills, including current knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop, a plus.
● Basic overall knowledge of Microsoft Office software with proficiency demonstrated in specific programs deemed critical to achieving performance goals.
● A creative mind that also thinks strategically.
● Skilled at creating powerful, compelling visual communications for a diverse range of audiences and purposes.
● Expertise in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. for branding, promotions, advocacy, and fundraising.
● Ability to work efficiently and quickly on diverse assignments and with all kinds of people
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both in a team environment and independently to reach common goals and objectives
● Must be detail orientated and able to function in a fast-paced environment.
● Basic knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions.
● Proficiency in design tools commonly used in current marketing environments.
● Basic knowledge of Jewish values
