Job Summary
To ensure that all areas of the hotel are kept properly stocked with clean linens, as well as ensure that any department requiring linens or terry is kept stocked with clean items and that the GM is kept informed on inventory as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
General
- Assist with stripping of dirty linen from the guest rooms as needed
- Sort linens for washer
- Remove stains from badly soiled linen
- Dispose of linen and terry properly
- Operate washers and dryers properly as well as ensuring that the correct chemicals (and amounts) are being used
- Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized designated places
- Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with hotel standards
- Keep laundry neat and clean
- Assist housekeepers in cleanliness of hotel room if needed
- Assist with cleaning and up-keeping of storage areas
- Assist with housekeeping where requested is staffing is short
· Report immediately all damage found in in laundry room or with equipment
· Notify Executive Housekeeper of any damage to roll-aways or cribs in rooms
· Take responsibility for pass key and make sure it is turned in daily
· Turn in immediately all "lost and found" items to Executive Housekeeper
· Shut off all lights, when leaving laundry room
· Assist Executive Housekeeper or Inspector in any additional cleaning chores he/she may assign

Job Requirements
· Be able to work a flexible schedule
· Wear a provided uniform and nametag at all times on property
· Perform routine cleaning throughout work area to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming and organizational needs, etc.
· Document any necessary minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, and follow through with proper department
· Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests while in guest rooms, front of house or any other area of hotel.
· Announce presence and enter guest rooms in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
· Respond to guest’s requests for immediate repairs.
· Assist other employees in various assignments, such as collecting/delivering dirty linen to laundry, and assisting laundry or housekeeping, as needed.
· Report lost-and-found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
· Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
· Must display very good organization and time management skills
· Must be able to walk and climb/descend stairs approximately 20% of the time
· Must be able to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed to accomplish required tasks
· Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds without assistance
· To always maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
