The responsibilities of the Commercial Electrical Estimator include:
- Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.
- Applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles.
- Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact the project estimates and begin to assist in quantifying the impact.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.
- Performs duties with some complexity under general supervision.
- Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.
- Understands the costing structure (overheads, G&A, insurance, etc.)
- Reads and interprets drawings and specifications.
- Develops detailed material take-offs for estimate development and field procurement of bulk materials.
- Perform Electrical estimates at all design stages from concept to completed design documents.
- Review sub contractor’s down time during construction and check cost impact
- Review design change in terms of cost impact (Quotation review for subcontract’s change order)
- Make an estimate or quotation for change order or design change etc.
- Compile and record all related documents
- Coordination with subcontractors
- Cost consulting from inception to completion and ongoing cost advice to clients at a portfolio level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, and the ability to research and maneuver on the web.

Salary: Starting at $80,000 +Commission
Qualifications:
- Washington State 01 Journeyman preferred but not required
- Minimum of three to five years in similar construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of estimating strategies, techniques and construction contracts required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Posses a valid driver license
