SALARY: $75,000 - $81,000 (candidate may be eligible for $5,000 stipend)

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
- Develop a personalized program of study tailored to meet students' individual needs, interests, and abilities to the greatest extent possible.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Create instructional lessons that meet individual students’ individual needs and abilities.
- Reinforce individual or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives. Provide individual or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives.
- Support students in developing both academic and social-emotional skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and workshops to enhance teaching proficiency and knowledge.
- Utilize time in an effective and efficient manner through consistent punctuality and effective time utilization.
- Demonstrate readiness for assigned classes and maintain documentation of lesson preparation upon request.
- Promote and uphold standards of classroom behavior conducive to the learning environment.
- Foster positive and inclusive professional relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Asses student progress and maintain accurate records of student academic performance.
- Set clear objectives for lessons, projects, and units aligned with curriculum standards, and effectively communicate these goals to students.
- Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and maintain open lines of communication.
- Establish effective communication with parents/guardians to keep them informed about student progress and achievements.
- Adhere to the attendance policy and regulations, ensuring fair enforcement of policies and procedures.
- Address concerns in a productive manner by acting and speaking to professionally resolve problems.
- Contribute to the school community.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Texas Teacher Certification appropriate for level and/or subject area of assignment or enroll in an accredited certification program.
Other Requirements:
- Strong passion for education and a desire to teach in an urban school district.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff members.
