What Are We Looking For:
We are seeking treatment technicians/ residential advisors to join our team in an effort to provide ongoing support ensuring the continuity of care for all of our clients. We are a young and motivated team, who consistently care for and support one another, so that we can be strong enough to guide our clients as best we can to sustained recovery. The successful candidate will work full time in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers.
Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician fulfills the assigned role as a part of the treatment team, maintaining the well-being of clients and integrity of the program. Provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned.
- Oversees clients and environment of care in an awake overnight capacity.
- Responsible for conducting rounds of client whereabouts and property safety checks at regular intervals throughout the evening.
- Document appropriately in client KIPU charts
- Completes admission/intake procedures on new clients including all paperwork, room assignments, and initial orientation.
- Conducts property searches of clients as required by program standards.
- Performs urine drug screen testing of clients as required.
- Performs Medication supervision as required.
- Provides transportation services including patient transportation
- Attends training meetings as required.
- Attends all required staff meetings.
- Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
- Maintains clean and safe environment.
Applicant Minimum Requirements:
- Valid California Driver’s License
- CPR & First Aid Certified (Basic Life Support) ( to be done within 30 days)
- Annual TB test and /or physical X-ray as applicable (to be done within 7 days of implement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills
- Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
- Strong ethical knowledge and boundaries
- Ability to function in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- 1 year or greater experience working with substance abuse or in a residential facility preferred.
- Desire to join a team that functions as a tight unit.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to assist the individuals we are trying to help.
- Experience with KIPU (required)
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE POPULATION
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
