Position Description:
Cumberland is seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement Coordinator to join our nonprofit organization and lead the execution of our community and donor engagement strategy. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in creating and implementing initiatives to promote our mission, engage community members, and drive fundraising efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by effectively leveraging community presentations, special events, and traditional marketing channels to create awareness and support for our cause. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to contribute your skills and creativity to advance our cause and create a lasting impact in the community. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and aware of community resources as well as have experience cultivating donor and community relationships.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field.
* Proven experience in non-profit fundraising and/or sales/marketing, demonstrating relationship development, stewardship, and outreach success.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with fundraising principles and donor engagement strategies.
* Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face-to-face with individual and corporate donors.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to prepare written reports on development and outreach activities.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
* Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, public appearances, and other communication opportunities.
* Produce compelling and engaging community presentations for various groups and engagements.
* Maintain a portfolio of donors and leverage community engagement opportunities to drive new donor acquisition, retention, and engagement.
* Engage in direct fundraising to meet an annual combined revenue goal from campaigns, appeals, corporations, and individuals.
* Maintain a program for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors, businesses, and community partners.
* Manage a timely and appropriate donor management and acknowledgment system.
* Assist in planning and promoting events to increase attendance and engagement. Utilize various marketing channels to promote events and achieve attendance and fundraising goals.
* Develop and maintain outreach collateral for community events and donor presentations consistent with the organization's brand guidelines.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams within the organization to align community engagement efforts with overall organizational goals and initiatives.
* All other duties assigned by management.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
* Occasional nights & weekends.
* Frequently and regularly required to attend off-site functions and will be required to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed).
* May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, up to 40 pounds infrequently.
* Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 25% of the day; sitting 75% of the day.
* The employee is regularly required to speak or hear, and may bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
* Position includes exposure to parents, guardians, and conservators as well as to youth with behavioral problems, including possible verbal or physical aggression.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
