Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Collect specimens for testing and perform basic laboratory procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Use electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks, Cerner) to document patient information accurately
- Assist with specialized procedures, such as gastric lavage and sterile processing
- Provide support to patients with behavioral health needs
- Perform airway management techniques when necessary
- Experience working with children and individuals with special needs is preferred
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of Michigan
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Behavorial Health and or Psych experience required
