Serenity Healthcare is hiring Junior SQL Analysts in our analytics department. The role is full-time, in person (Lehi, UT). Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree with high grades, demonstrated problem-solving ability, and, ideally a couple of years of experience working with Data. Pay and title will reflect prior experience. Flexibility with hours, occasional WFH, and PTO is part of our team’s culture, for employees in good standing with their responsibilities.
As an Analyst, you’ll be working largely in SQL (Python as well, if you’ve learned it), building reports, exploring data for trends, answering business questions, and learning the full Data Analytics Lifecycle: from data exploration to cleaning and reshaping data so that it lends itself to the business question, conducting the analysis, and making it presentable to the business. You’ll be given an area of the business to develop subject matter expertise in; be expected to show skill set development in the first few months (which often requires difficult self-study – the team will show you techniques and methods); and you’ll interact with the heads of departments your work pertains to.
The data team is currently made up of an analyst, a data engineer, a business intelligence developer, a data scientist, and a manager. However, each of us has overlapping responsibilities and skills.
4-year STEM degree (some technical boot camps satisfy this requirement)
2 years of relevant work experience is strongly preferred
Problem-solving abilities
You should know SQL. If you haven’t used it at work, a motivated candidate could take online courses, and pass the SQL screening.
Prior experience in healthcare is a plus (however, clinical research is not relevant)
You should be motivated to have a career in data. This can be isolating work, requiring focused effort for several uninterrupted hours – it’s not for everyone.
