Position Description:
RAMTeCH Software Solutions is a global GIS consulting, data management, and software solutions company specializing in the utility, energy, and telecommunications industries. We are seeking a Director, Sales and Marketing to work either in our Stillwater, MN office or remotely within North America. Primary responsibilities for this position include generating sales from both new and existing customers, not limited to Electric and Gas Utilities, and Telecommunications Company industries, as well as managing the sales and marketing team for the business unit. Additional responsibilities include:
· Ensure that sales and marketing staff have what they need to execute their work
· Meet and exceed company-derived annual sales quota for business unit and KPI-based sales staff
· Interact with company staff at all levels and locations for productive business capture operations management, solution development, bid responses, and bid closure
· Report on status to support the management of company’s ongoing business
· Establish, manage, grow, and report on pipeline and progression of business
· Establish annual sales and marketing budgets
· Achieve and exceed sales targets and related annual KPIs that are set to support the business unit’s strategy
· Establish and manage to a business unit and company management agenda
· Establish and manage relations with strategic business partners
The foundation of this position is the sale of technical business solutions in a highly competitive marketplace. Sales work is based upon extensive client interaction through a range of communications including verbal, written, and face-to-face.
Position Requirements
Sales includes direct work with customers, coordination with key business partners, and direct communication and interaction with customer staff from senior executives to associate staff. Travel can be extensive, at times exceeding 50%.
Management includes assurance of high-quality and high-paced business development, productive US-India solution collaboration, coordinated marketing support, and performance of quota-US based sales personnel. Business development and marketing support work are managed daily between US operations and India operations. The position requires direct contribution to and execution of business unit business strategy and development tasks.
Ability to work in a team environment with company management, sales staff, consultants, and project delivery staff, as well as clients, which may require the following skills:
· Mastered the concepts of customer focused sales and account management, applied to different business, consultative sales approach to solve customer’s problems with RAMTeCH solutions
· Successful development and sales of customer-focused solutions
· Emphasis of experience toward long-term managed services for engineering, records management, and software development
· Expansion of solutions broadened by coordination with strategic partners
· Established, maintained, and continually grown a large-scale pipeline in accordance with company expectations
· Experience developing solutions with and leveraging global delivery team (US + India operations) to drive competitive solutions
· Oversee internal team on execution of bid response, competitive bid strategies in accordance with customer
· Excellent organizational skills, management of many accounts and opportunities at one time
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Natural drive and ability to achieve and exceed business goals, annual quotas
· Experience budgeting overhead resources and expenses within company guidelines
· Working with marketing to coordinate company’s attendance, positioning, and participation at industry events
· Willingness and ability to travel and responsibly manage expenses within company expectations
· Ability to establish, work with and manage productive relations with strategic business partners
· Ability to motivate team and enable them to achieve their annual quota
Experience and Education Required
· Experience
o 10+ years of relevant work experience
o Successfully managed sales operations for $25M+ annual order intake, focus on technical services and/or successfully executed personal sales quota regularly exceeding $10M annually
o Managed sales team that successfully met annual sales quota achievement
o Routinely coordinating work between US and offshore operations to drive competitive solutions
o Managed marketing team that aligned with business development
o Experience both managing sales and contributing through direct sales simultaneously
o Utilities experience focused on engineering services, managed services, geospatial, operations, and system implementations
o Developed and/or contributed directly to company/business unit management and business strategy
· Education:
o Minimum of bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related field, with preference to master’s degree
