POSITION TITLE ELECTRICAL PROGRAMMING TECHNICIAN
FUNCTIONAL AREA R&B Plastics Machinery Assembly Floor, Customer Sites
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Steadily growing custom Plastics Machinery designer and manufacturer, R&B Plastics Machinery seeks an experienced and motivated Electrical Programming Technician to join our team. The right candidate will be a logical thinking individual with strong experience in machine wiring and debug, will be familiar with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, and will understand how to read basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints. This motivated individual should desire to be part of a growing company with a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
Duties/Essential Job Functions:
· Start up and debug of new and rebuilt machinery, including machine wiring, PLC, HMI, and drives.
· Use mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, and lube prints to gain an understanding of machine functionality.
· Have and use basic electrician tools, including diagnostic tools such as a multimeter.
· Perform general mechanical troubleshooting and light repair & maintenance when necessary.
· Provide technical support in troubleshooting equipment and be able to make necessary repairs.
· The ability to travel to customer facilities for machine installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair is an important aspect of this position. AN AVERAGE OF up to 50% DOMESTIC TRAVEL IS REQUIRED. Occasional international travel is possible.
· MUST strictly adhere to all company, customer, and governmental safety policies, practices, and regulations related to powered equipment.
· Perform other related duties as needed and assigned by supervisor or management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of electricity required.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical machine assembly, troubleshooting, and repair required; however raw aptitude will be considered as well.
- Knowledge and experience working with Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 and/or Siemens Portal required.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Maintains punctuality and is committed to being a valued part of a team.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

WORK HOURS: FULL TIME: 40 hours/week: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm shift with overtime
