CNC Machinist/Programmer
CNC Machinist Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Setup and fabrication of machined parts and assemblies. Machine Shop is a quick turn prototyping area.
- Convert Solid Works models into CNC programs (MasterCam)
- Model making, creating parts from conceptual sketches.
- Create tooling and fixtures to support fabrication of parts.
- Setup and breakdown of parts runs
- Maintenance and routine servicing of machinery.
Qualifications for CNC Machinist:
- 5+years direct experience in the machine shop tool (lathes, mills, shear....) operation.
- Direct knowledge of CNC equipment programming and operation.
- Direct knowledge of machine shop safety requirements and responsibilities.
- Must be able to produce prototype parts from sketches
- Knowledge of cutting tool parameters
- Knowledge of aluminum, steel, plastics and their properties.
- Knowledge of finishing and plating techniques.
- Interface with outside shops when needed.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to details, highly organized and computer literate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
