JOB DUTIES:
The Records Technician directly supports national security and suitability investigations, focusing on performing background investigations on behalf of Government clients. This role is responsible for retrieving records, conducting research, and preparing reports of investigation in compliance with Federal standards and agency regulations.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Top Secret Clearance, or be able to obtain the required U.S. Government Security
Clearance.
LOCATION:
Remote/home-based.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Complete online record searches at law enforcement agencies, courthouses, and employment, education, and health institutions.
+ Conduct online database searches for retrieval of various records pertinent to a background investigation.
+ Compile information obtained in a concise, comprehensive report of investigation in accordance with CANDA and government standards, guidelines and policies.
+ Meet quality, timeliness and production standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ U.S. Citizenship;
+ Minimum 18 years of age;
+ High School diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
+ Minimum of one year of experience within the last three years of conducting/reviewing background investigations for the Federal government;
+ Must be able to successfully complete and pass all required training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 15 lbs.
+ Regular use of phone, internet, and fax machine.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
+ Successfully pass criminal record and credit report checks;
+ Successfully complete a security interview;
+ Must have Top Secret Clearance or be able to obtain the required U.S.
