California Workers' Compensation Defense firm seeking a file clerk. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating our firm calendar, scheduling depositions, and managing incoming files. This role coordinates the firm calendar and schedules depositions, opens all new incoming files to the firm, separates legal documents and uploads them to our case management system and names them into the corresponding file.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the firm calendar and schedule depositions, ensuring all depositions and hearings are accurately recorded and communicated.
- Open all new incoming files to the firm and ensure proper documentation and organization.
- Separate legal documents and upload them to our case management system, meticulously naming and categorizing them into the corresponding file.
- Utilize Merus Case Management system efficiently to input and manage case information (previous experience with Merus is a plus).
- Assist in various administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a California Workers' Compensation Law firm is preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with Merus Case Management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document management and data entry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
