We are seeking an Admissions & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This is a key position in our school office, providing the highest level of customer service to our community to support admissions growth and marketing endeavors.
Admissions and Enrollment
- Manage inquiries, applications, and handle admissions calls
- Schedule tours with prospective parents
- Manage/maintain waitlists
- Manage enrollment process and document status
- Create, manage, and maintain student files throughout the year
- Prepare and submit student transcripts as requested
Internal & External Marketing
- Create and implement a yearly social media plan, including creating posts/content and managing the school’s social media accounts
- Maintain and update the school website
- Assist/manage any advertisements or marketing campaigns
- Assist with writing and preparation of marketing and communication materials, including event fliers, brochures, internal newsletters, advertisements, etc.
- Coordinate and implement all school-wide events, community meetings, parent nights, etc.
- Coordinate and maintain a school-wide list of volunteer needs and coordinate parent volunteers throughout the year
- Create and manage the yearbook, including school pictures
Other Responsibilities
- Help with office tasks, such as greeting parents at the door, manning the phones, escorting late arrivals to class, purchasing supplies, and other tasks as assigned by the Head of School
- Assist with the coordination of field trips as needed
- Assist the Head of School with fundraising communications/activities as needed
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance
- Occasionally assist with temporary coverage for other staff members in the classroom, as requested
Qualifications
- BA/BS in a related field (i.e. Communication, Education, Marketing, Business Admin) preferred
- Montessori certification or experience preferred
- Experience in working in a school setting and/or working with children preferred
- Child care clearances, including Criminal Background check and CPR/First Aid certification required
Skills & Abilities
- Outstanding customer service skills, adept at handling all types of situations
- Knowledge of Montessori or willingness/ability to learn details about this style of education to communicate with others
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy of information
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
- Exercises sound judgment and decision-making - must be able to “think on your feet”
- Takes initiative and is self-directed
- Leadership experience managing and leading volunteers or committees
- Ability to work with diverse populations that include parents, prospective families, students, staff
- Possesses strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or related tools a plus
