Job Overview:
Coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, building and other facilities. Plan utilization of space and facilities consistent with budget and organizational efficiency. Performs all duties assigned in accordance with all applicable legal regulations and code requirements, presenting oneself as an asset to the Hollywood Park Casino and encouraging others to do the same.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
·Provide excellent customer service to all guests and employees.
·Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
·Communicate effectively with all guests and employees and follow through on all written and verbal instructions
·Manage and oversee all construction project(s), engineering and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and ventilation, carpentry, landscape, painting and other facility related items.
·Plan, budget and schedule facility modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
· Provide recommendations to senior management regarding facility improvements, equipment acquisition and maintenance strategies.
·Maintain the facility in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
· Regularly inspect all buildings inside and out to evaluate suitability for occupancy, considering such factors as air circulation, lighting, location, size and safety.
·Direct and manage workers engaged in facility maintenance and operations.
·Resolve problems associated with maintenance of the facility in a timely manner.
·Perform and/or facilitate repairs, routine and scheduled maintenance as required.
· Utilize and monitor performance of outside vendors and contractors, as appropriate.
·Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications and plan designs.
· Knowledgeable in company and departmental policies and procedures and position procedures.
· Report and address safety concerns immediately.
· Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions of this position.
·Completes all other duties as assigned by senior management.
· Strictly enforce and adhere to all HPC timekeeping rules and procedures.
·Enforce and adhere to all department, Human Resources and Safety policies and procedures.
·Enforce and adhere to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
·Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
·Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a casino work permit before entering this position.
·Must have employment eligibility in the U.S
·Preferred degree in Facilities Management, equivalent technical degree and or certification. Must have 10+ years of increased responsibilities in facilities management, plant operations and maintenance.
· Must have knowledge in the principles of hazardous materials management, emergency preparedness and response procedures; Code of Federal Regulations, CAL-OSHA, OSHA within facility operations.
· Must possess a high regard for customer service and Team Member relations.
· Ability to adapt well to the casino environment that involves large numbers of people as well as loud and continuous high noise levels.
· Must function in a team environment.
· Demonstrates Flexibility – able to change schedule or locations within the casino as required to meet the needs of the departments
· Must be able to work any shift and any day of the week, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and guests.
· Ability to work under pressure and be detail oriented.
· Duties for this position require moderate physical exertion, such as sitting/walking at will, standing/sitting for long periods, lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25lbs., pushing/pulling objects, crouching/kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, close vision, color/depth perception, hearing sounds/communication, and handling/grasping/fingering equipment. Safety precautions must be used at all times to avoid injury to oneself and others.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
