ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER – FULL TIME POSITION This person will be a member of our Los Angeles-based live entertainment team and will help support the development and production of cause-related concerts, media events, issue-based conferences and various sports-related activation projects. Financial responsibilities include assisting in managing the financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, staging, permits, insurances, vendor management, staffing, and administration. You will work with production leadership to build, update and monitor budgets and financial statements, which drive our projects throughout California and nationwide.
This requires a true team player with familiarity with events and/or production problem-solving and financial coordination skills. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated, personable individual with prior payroll and bookkeeping experience and should also be excellent at data entry, particularly via Google Sheets, excel and Quickbooks. The position has management growth potential.
THIS POSITION: ▪ Is a full time position in a small, high-paced company which works directly with sports, live entertainment, labor, corporate, political and governmental entities. ▪ Assists in managing the finance operations of the company, including direct management of the finance team and administrative personnel, under the direction of the Finance Manager. ▪ Requires an extremely motivated, organized and self-directed individual who can work on multiple projects per month. ▪ Requires professional written and verbal communication skills, including emailing, virtual and in person discussion, as well as reporting out to large & small audiences. ▪ Requires the ability to quickly learn or develop new systems, and effectively implement them in day to day operations. ▪ Requires the ability to be on site for all company productions & events, including some long distance travel as needed. ▪ Frequently serves as the primary point of contact with client finance teams, facilities and equipment vendors for each event, and on occasion serves as the primary point of contact with high level clients. ▪ Requires administrative skills including: ability to create budgets, input data, create charts, graphs and reports and keeping management, clients and sponsors updated regularly. ▪ Involves heavy data-input and analysis. ▪
Work schedule will be approximately 40 hours a week, 9:00am - 5:30pm. Some weekends and evenings are required on an as-needed basis. ▪ Will involve rapidly changing priorities which must be achieved on a daily and/or weekly basis.
TASKS: ▪ Works with production leadership & finance team to build budgets in Google Sheets and quickbooks. ▪ Ensures production employees have proper paperwork completed for employee onboarding and payroll, including insurance and benefits. ▪ Monitors employee timesheets and supports payroll processing where needed. ▪ Receives, tracks, and processes vendor, sponsor or client accounts payable invoices and investigates, when necessary. ▪ Review and analyze financial statements and budgets on a regular basis, including the ability to produce reports that communicates this information quickly and effectively. ▪ Codes payables and inputs into Quickbooks software when needed. ▪ Produces accurate, timely reports including Cash Flow, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets when needed. ▪ Produces Weekly Finance Report across all projects. ▪ Keeps track of project/production assets. ▪ Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as required. ▪ Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by accountants or partners

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES UTILIZED WEEKLY ▪ Minimum of two years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports. ▪ Minimum of two years experience in live events preferred. ▪ Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism. ▪ Ability to operate general office equipment. ▪ Strong knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft excel, Google Sheets and accurate data entry. ▪ Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. ▪ Must be able to keep production matters strictly confidential. ▪ Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills. ▪ Prior experience in Business Management preferred. ▪ Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
