Houseperson/Maintenance:
- Maintains the overall cleanliness of the hotel's public space by cleaning all assigned areas thoroughly on a daily basis and guest rooms
- Cleans public areas including; floors, elevators, lobbies, hallways, vending areas, service areas, stairwells, fitness club. Completes work projects as assigned by supervisor and management
- Cleans and polishes floors, windows, mirrors, vending machines, and ice machines Vacuums, shampoos, and removes gum spots from carpets as required Removes all litter from public space Dusts all spots thoroughly Performs other cleaning duties as required Insures customer satisfaction by cleaning customer rooms when required according to operational policies and standards
- Performs general maintenance to assist with guest needs including, changing light bulbs, TV issues, Heating/Cooling issues, etc...
- Adheres to hotel policies and procedures Attends work on time as scheduled Follows hotel grooming and dress standards Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Laundry
- Receive dirty linen from housekeeping staff and separate linens and towels by type
- Wash and dry laundry following procedures
- Maintain the organization of the laundry room
- Follow all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place object weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility, bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading room assignments, completing checklists, replacing room linens and amenities.
- May be required to work 1st or 2nd shift, weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
