The DFW Airport Community Engagement and events team is looking for an individual who will actively contribute to the successful implementation of the Airport's community engagement strategies on behalf of the Airport and its employees. Major priorities for this position will include executing employee giving events and projects, coordinating employee volunteer programs, organizing sustainability efforts in the community and participating in the Airport's Human Trafficking prevention initiatives.
What you will be doing:

Execute employee volunteer programs including, coordinating cross-functional, internal teams and outreach to external organizations for successful completion of each initiative.

Contribute to the Airport's community engagement messaging to promote qualified community events and DFW public relations activities around the Airport.
- Coordinate employee giving programs by liaising with community organizations in the North Texas region to meet goals and maximize initiatives on behalf of the Airport.

Increase advocacy for DFW community goals and initiatives and contribute to implementing ideas on community relations initiatives to management.

Collaborate on enterprise-wide community outreach projects to support special events, including logistics, tracking metrics, development and monitoring communications, promotional activities.

Assist the Assistant Vice President, Sr. Manager and other Communications and Marketing staff members on projects, including memberships and sponsorship activities, projects, programs, conferences, and events on an as-needed basis.

Assist with the Airport tour program, helping to develop programming and manage event schedules, as well as prepare presentations, materials and promotional items for airport visits sponsored by area cities, chambers, educational institutions, and other stakeholder organizations.
What you need:

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business, marketing communications, journalism, or related field.

Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, event planning and community program development.

Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in event planning or community program development.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above on a year-for-year basis.

Possession of a valid class C driver's license.
What we desire:

Working knowledge of the Airport's practices and procedures.

Coursework in public relations, corporate social responsibility or corporate citizenship best practices.

College coursework in public relations, accounting and/or budgeting.

Knowledge and proficiency with web-based content management systems.

Knowledge in basic photography.
