Overview:
Cedar Crest College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Duties:
The Maintenance Manager must possess excellent customer service skills and have an overall concern for the general welfare and safety of the college and community. The facilities department of Cedar Crest College has overall responsibility to provide the best possible environment for education and student living.
1. knowledge of and proficiency with specialized power equipment.
2. obey all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
3. perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use.
4. secure the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work.
5. supply own trade tools.
6. supply own transportation (on-campus miles are reimbursed)
7. equipment trouble-shooting.
8. perform corrective and preventative maintenance.
9. establish and communicate work priorities to the team.
10. delegate work.
11. manage and prioritize and delegate work orders, submission through completion.
12. manage a staff of up to ten (10) trades workers
Experience:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management
- Strong electrical, HVAC, mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience managing a team of maintenance technicians
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
