POSITION SUMMARY:
The Workers Compensation Specialist position is responsible for oversight of the administration of Bass Pro’s Workers Compensation benefit to Outfitters. This includes the development of Workers Compensation claims policies and procedures, assessing and directing Bass Pro’s Third-Party Administrator, and consultation, coordination, and collaboration with Bass Pro site personnel and Corporate Safety to in delivering benefits in the timeliest and efficient manner possible. Additional responsibilities include, recovery management, data integrity, discovery response assistance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide oversight and coordination of workers’ compensation claims administration within assigned territory. Communication with adjusters, defense counsel, physicians, nurses, employees.
Consult with site Safety, HR, and Operations in the investigation, compensability assessment, and management of workers’ compensation claims.
Identify potential loss prevention initiatives and OSHA reporting in partnership with the Safety team.
Analyze worker’s compensation data, quantification, integrity.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration/Finance
Experience: 2+ years in a related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Workers compensation claims benefits administration knowledge preferably with multi-state jurisdictional experience.
Must have an ability to analyze data and identify patterns and trends
Great attention to detail
Ability to be flexible in tasks assigned and still complete assigned task timely
Strong technical aptitude with working knowledge of MS Office Suite
