The PepsiCo Fleet Engineering and Sustainability team is a high-performing team, responsible for building strategies that guide and influence asset design, sustainability improvements, productivity, and Capital leverage. The SC Fleet Assoc Trailer Engineer will own in development and deployment of assets that improve safety, reliability, and sustainability performance across the PepsiCo North American Fleet which is one of the largest private fleets in North America.
This individual will have exposure to Frito-Lay and PBNA’s senior Supply Chain leadership team. A successful candidate will bring an engineering or automotive background and analytical skillset to solving strategic issues for the fleet function. This role will support the Better Together Fleet organization, bridging fleet strategies across the PepsiCo organization.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Specifications and Builds - responsible for trailer equipment specifications and new equipment builds to achieve operational requirements, life cycle, cost, safety, and efficiency targets.

Partner with safety, delivery, and transport teams to deliver solutions that improve user efficiency and safety, reliability, and enable sales system growth.

Program Management and cost control – effectively manage corporate trailer programs to deliver timely results in a cost-effective manner.
- Industry Technical Leadership - partner with suppliers and manufacturers to identify, develop, and implement new technology.

Support sustainability agenda to comply with regulations, reduce fuel/energy usage, operating cost, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Become involved in the industry: Peer fleets, professional organizations, gov't and non-government organizations, trade associations, and academia to align with industry and bring outside ideas in.

Support the asset purchasing process - liaison/partner with PepsiCo Global Procurement and Fleet Capital Manager to ensure vehicles are purchased on time at the right cost, quality, and performance.
Compensation and Benefit Details:

The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300 based on a full-time schedule.

Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in Fleet, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Analytics at a consumer-packaged goods company or supporting CPG organizations in a management consulting role.

Technical Degree and Experience: Engineering, Supply Chain, or Technical Degree Required

Relevant education and background in engineering, fleet operations, automotive, or supply chain in a large fortune 500 company.
