Description: The Benefits/HR Manager is responsible for directing a variety of financial, human resource, and benefit activities, both through direct involvement and through working with other staff. Primary focus includes 401(k) and group benefit plans administration and tax filings, leave of absences and disability claims, and ACA oversight and reporting, along with other various related duties and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Administer all internal/external aspects of 401(k) retirement plan program and group benefit plan programs, including annual renewals, open enrollment and ACA analysis and reporting.
- Oversee and coordinate all leave of absences and disability claims
- Prepare various analyses and projections as needed
- Obtain feedback from and cross-train with internal customers
- Assist with special projects, as needed
Evaluation Factors:
- Staff interaction and training
- Management of external contacts
- Quality of systems and service to employees and vendors in administration of the 401(k) plan, group insurance benefit programs and leave of absences.
- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting and compliance duties
- Compliance with governmental regulations, requirements and deadlines.
- Feedback from internal customers obtained through the Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications:
- BA in Business Administration preferred but not required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge and/or significant experience with benefits administration, FMLA, HR-related topics, 401(k) plans and financial reporting all required
- Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting concepts is required
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience
