Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and customer-oriented, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office.
Duties:
- Greet patients, visitors, and vendors warmly and assist them with their needs
- Answer patient inquiries and provide necessary support
- Manage incoming communication channels such as phone calls, emails, and faxes efficiently
- Maintain office schedule and ensure a welcoming environment for all
- Update patient records accurately in both physical and electronic formats
- Assist in collecting vital signs, performing physical exams, and obtaining medical histories
- Handle lab test specimens and assist with IV infusions
- Process billing, invoices, and patient payments
- Coordinate insurance forms, laboratory services, and referrals to other healthcare professionals
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits
- Manage inventory of office supplies and facilitate reordering when necessary
- Support patients undergoing various therapies as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records at all times
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a HIPAA-regulated setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Availability to work part-time on weekdays with potential Saturday shifts in the future
- Strong customer service skills with a pleasant demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meet deadlines consistently
- Skilled in multitasking and working well under pressure
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence, problem-solving capabilities, and conflict resolution skills
- Works effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Maintains a professional appearance at all times
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Inpatient experience,
Knowledge of physiology,
Proficiency in medical terminology,
Basic life support certification,
Familiarity with hospital procedures,
Experience with medication administration,

Experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU),
