Ensure the stable operation of on-prem and cloud AD environments, and endpoint security in Windows and Mac OS environments. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, and maintenance of all software, end user hardware, group policies, and access control in a timely and accurate fashion.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Work closely with sysops, networking, and security teams to diagnose root causes, and resolve problems
- Administer hybrid on-prem and Azure Active Directory/ Office 365
- Manage remote desktop management using Microsoft and Manage VMWare Workspace One platform
- Manage desktop backups &
- Oversee installation, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure network products and services
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team
- Provide onsite and remote desktop support for all PH campuses and affiliate offices
- Provide backup support to SysOps Engineer for corporate SAN
- Provide rotating support for live and VOD streaming services
- Work with AI lab team to vet artificial intelligence solutions for corporate use
Basic Qualifications:
- College Degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience
- Related networking or MS Certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure and on-prem Active Directory management including Group Policies
- Office 365, Adobe products
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Network and PC operating systems, including Windows 10+, Mac OS X14+
- VMWare Workspace One
- Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN and NAS
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Working knowledge of AI prompting (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc)
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
- Occasional inspection and/or running of cables in floors and ceilings
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
