Job Overview
The Assistant Pro Trainee/ Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Golf with the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop and Golf Department by administering the day-to-day Pro Shop duties such as: opening and closing, answering calls, making golf reservations and assisting Pro with golf lessons and tournaments. This position is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the golf course’s cart fleet..

General Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Administer point of sales transactions and maintain the day-to-day golf reservation systems by reserving tee times and lessons, check-in customers, and receiving payments.
- Ensure the collection and recording receipt of appropriate payment ( credit card, gift card, transactions); in accordance with the Club Procedures.
- Accurately reconciles cash register sales with daily sales reports at shift change points.
- Keep a working knowledge of all upcoming tournaments and programs to provide accurate information to guests.
- Maintain records of daily play on golf course and other data, as directed.
- Perform outside service duties, maintaining cart staging area and putting green.
- Maintain a tidy and organized Pro Shop environment
- Assist in restocking shelves and monitoring inventory levels
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits as directed
· Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications
- College degree (PGM) OR willingness to train to become a PGA Member or Apprentice preferred
- 2-3 years golf experience preferred (Golf team, golf experience and passion for golf)
- Exceptional organization skills and able to work in fast paced environment with high efficiency and productivity
- Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
