This position is responsible for effectively pursuing group sales. This position's primary responsibility is overall guest satisfaction and successful event execution.
Sales/Event Coordinator Responsibilities:
· Answering the phone and booking events with clients.
· Meet with potential clients and develop a proposal for events with quotes and prices.
· Execute the contracts and collect deposits from clients.
· Coordinate details of events such as conferences, wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthday parties, retirement parties, etc.
· Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
· Finalize Banquet Event Order with client and then meet with all department heads to discuss details of the event.
· Enter booked events into Tripleseat.
- Establish strong relationships with Hotels, Youth Groups, Corporate Event/Meeting Planners, Visitor and Convention Bureaus, Chambers of Commerce, and local government entities in addition to other community partners
- Responsible for overall client satisfaction relating to events, ensuring proper and successful execution of all events
- Skillfully and consistently solicit and generate new Corporate Event Sales
- Skillfully and consistently manage Birthday Party Sales
- Solicit, manage and execute all Group Sales activities according to Group Sales planning program calendar
- Manage contracts pertaining to event sales, tracking signed contracts, securing deposits and final client payments according to policies
- Responsible for generating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the General Manager
- Maintain integrity and updating of database information
- Assisting the Marketing/Event Coordinator with social media initiatives as needed
Sales/Event Coordinator Requirements:
- Outstanding organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and skills
- Ability to mediate, negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Professional image/presence and excellent motivational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
