Our program specializes in the treatment of clients with eating disorders; however, if you don't have any experience with eating disorders, don't worry! We will provide you with training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, LVNs participate in implementation and promotion of a six-bed residential treatment facility for clients with eating disorders. The primary responsibility of the LVN is to provide direct nursing care to clients as part of the milieu treatment team. Our facilities provide a healing environment where clients utilize our integrative, evidence-based treatment approach to recover from eating disorders. The LVN supports the program’s daily schedule and rules by (1) modeling appropriate behaviors and communication skills for clients, (2) supporting clients in crisis, and (3) supporting the treatment team including clinicians, doctors, dieticians, administrators, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers (MHRWs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Coordinate with all persons involved in client treatment to include, but not limited to: case-management team, treatment coordinators, physicians, and supervisor to assure continuity of client care.
Supervise clients and interact with them in the milieu, teaching and modeling appropriate coping skills.
Protect consumer rights and maintain residents’ confidentiality. Assure clients’ safety at all times.
Work the hours required by the program as scheduled by the supervisor, including overnights, holidays and occasional fill-in for other regular staff members.
Drive to pick up supplies and/or transport clients for outings, medical visits, and other as needed.
Insert, monitor, remove, and maintain NG tubes for clients requiring tube feeding according to program guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Possess a valid License in good standing to practice as an LVN, or LPT, issued by the State of California.
License Required: Must have a valid California Driver’s License in good standing with proof of auto insurance.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
