Gage Commercial Construction is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our growing company, based in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with leadership on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities
- Partners with the Leadership Team to understand and execute the company’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Assists in org planning as it relates to supporting the development of the annual financial plan and expansion into new markets
- Develops and implements Career Model Frameworks across Gage functions as we continue to grow and scale as a company.
- Manages the annual Performance Review process and recommends updates to the process, approach, and documentation.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Fosters employee engagement; provides confidential channels for employees to submit concerns to management; supports and facilitates communications between employees and supervisors.
- Aids in training and professional development initiatives: identify both individual-based and group-based training opportunities and resources.
- Administers company benefit programs and acts as the first point of contact for benefit-related questions.
- Maintains personnel records.
- Performs other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, Talent Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in HR Administration, Talent Management, Organizational Development, or Learning & Development.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated talent management and the linkage between talent initiatives and business strategy.
- Talent management experience with a focus on talent review/succession planning processes and performance management.
- Program/project management and/or change management experience.
- Proven collaborator with the ability to rally multiple resources to accomplish goals
- Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills in communication, presentation, and facilitation.
- Ability to stay organized and detail-oriented, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-directed and self-motivated mindset with a focus on service excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,496.43 - $64,425.81 per year
