POSITION SUMMARY
The Market Production Lead is key when overseeing operations within any event or activated space. They are responsible for transporting the event assets, setting up and preparing the space and coordinating with our customers (creators, guests and stakeholders) on site. This role delivers world class hospitality and creates memorable experiences for everyone attending our events. The Market Production Lead creates a positive learning environment for their team, always striving to improve those around them.
This is a full-time/part-time/seasonal non-exempt position which requires nights and weekends to regularly oversee, support and improve operational needs. This position is based in San Francisco but travels around the Bay Area to our events as needed.
This role is a direct connection to our customers, with the hospitality, knowledge, and operational excellence provided by this position defining our public perception. This role introduces potential partners and future business leads to Off the Grid.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk, listen attentively, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, sit, stand, walk, and use hands.
- Frequently move and lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Use of lift gate; loading equipment on and off the truck.
- Driving a 16' box truck.
- Light equipment maintenance/ upkeep such as painting, cleaning, or washing assets.
Onsite Market Operations
- Inspect and log equipment maintenance needs.
- Remove obstacles and potential dangers, maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after events.
- Lead by example to improve event performance and team communication.
- Actively participate in setup and breakdown of production elements.
Fleet Vehicle Logistics
- Oversee market vehicle operations, including safety checks and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with driving rules and safety procedures.
- Complete all required training and safety courses.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, organization, and stock.
Creator Success
- Support creators with event placement, document checks, and emergency assistance.
- Manage creator event performance and customer engagement.
- Ensure creators follow contractual obligations, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations.
Team Experience
- Foster a positive work environment with a focus on motivation, teamwork, and customer service.
- Develop and oversee team accountability based on event operations and company policies.
- Encourage participation and ownership by all team members.
Hospitality Liaison
- Take ownership of public events, including hospitality, production, execution, client management, and logistics.
- Champion Off the Grid’s values and event production standards.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with OTG customers.
- Oversee hospitality and customer service programs, including team training and guest experience research.
- Resolve challenging guest issues with resourcefulness and creativity.
- Ensure a strong presence at events for an exceptional customer experience.
General Administration
- Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards exceed local codes.
- Complete detailed daily event reports and incident reports.
- Secure keys, gas cards, phones, tools, and administrative technology.
- Assist customers with event surveys and use various OTG Apps.
Years of Related Professional Experience
- 1-2 years of professional event production and/or related operations experience.
- 1+ years of management, customer service, or sales experience.
Educational/Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid CA Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Familiarity with Android and Apple devices.
Travel Required: 40-50%
