We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to ensuring that our cabinets meet the highest quality standards. This role involves inspecting various aspects of cabinet production, from finish and color to hardware and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect Cabinet Finish: Ensure cabinets and parts are smooth to the touch.
- Color Check: Verify cabinet color against samples and paperwork; ensure proper finish (satin, semi, flat, glazing, oversand, distress, etc.).
- Plan Verification: Ensure all finished ends meet the color and feel test as per plans.
- Measurement Verification: Compare measurements to plans; check for wide stiles, extended ends, longer stiles, top and bottom rails.
- Door and Drawer Front Style: Ensure all doors and fronts are correct in size and profiles as per plan.
- Hinge Inspection: Check for proper style (color, number, and style) and placement of hinges.
- Accessory Check: Verify plans for all accessories, including roll-outs, breadboards, spice racks, tip-outs, etc.
- Drawer Slides: Check for proper slides.
- Bumpers and Stickers: Ensure all cabinets have appropriate bumpers and stickers.
- Panel Inspection: Confirm panels are finished on the correct ends.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in quality control or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of cabinet construction and finishes is a plus.
