The HR & Talent Development Specialist is a dual role and will be responsible for supporting corporate Human Resources and key Talent Development Learning strategies. The position will partner with our businesses to understand employee-related issues and needs and to take those learnings and apply best practices in HR as well as in Talent Development.
Position Location: Lakeland, Florida
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers and HR Business Partners to conduct performance improvement needs analysis that will determine the appropriate performance, talent development interventions and/or disciplinary action.

Help lead change and growth within the organization from a Learning, Engagement and HR perspective.Assess development needs, identify objectives, develop supportive materials, deliver training solutions, and evaluate outcomes that facilitate professional development, leadership, and continuous learning for contributors.

Create, facilitate and deliver corporate training programs that are asynchronous (content authoring), and in-person (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (vILT), as well as on-the-job learning, coaching, and self-learning that advances the organization's goals and objectives

Provide instruction and guidance to contributors through all phases of employment life-cycle; deliver onboarding sessions to new contributors at all levels, assist in managing performance, and assist with off-boarding/exit process.

Provide guidance on HR-related issues such as policies, protocol, conflict resolution, performance and behavioral improvements and effective team interaction

Coordinate training delivery logistics, administer training feedback surveys and develop reports.

Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) platform to implement, deliver and track training, including loading content, scheduling sessions, reporting, etc. Provide back-up support for the LMS

Practice inclusive principles to design and facilitate learning that is easily accessible to users at various levels of need

Manage projects and efforts that are in support of the organization’s culture, values and engagement

Support subject-matter experts with their training approach and skills; guide others in effective techniques for training

Perform tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required in support of HR initiatives

Qualifications:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, or a related field (Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Instructional Design, Education) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with handling employee relations matters, HR-related subjects and employment law

2 years’ experience designing instructor-led and/or online learning programs in a corporate setting, strongly preferred

Experience with instructional design concepts and proven proficiency in engaging training delivery.

Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), or SPHR a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of adult instructional course development, training methods and techniques

Skill in designing training programs to achieve objectives

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, professional self-awareness and ability to interact with people in a positive manner and support learning and growth; comfortable interacting with diverse learning groups

Ability to collaborate and work independently to develop and accomplish objectives

Ability to partner with others to influence their actions and help lead change

Inject creativity and thought-provoking techniques when developing engaging, effective and enjoyable learning experiences

Technology-literate; ability to quickly learn new systems and tools. LMS experience a plus.

Advanced level ability to create templates, surveys, presentations and technical documentation using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Office environment with frequent sitting, standing, talking, indicating, etc. Frequent computer work. Interacting with people frequently in-person, via Teams video, phone, etc. Occasional travel.
