Job Description
- Maintains knowledge of and compliance with current Medicare/Medicaid, state/federal rules, and regulations for professional services.
- Complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
- Assumes responsibility for personal growth. Develops, maintains, and upgrades professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance at seminars, conferences and participation in continuing education and in-service classes.
- Fulfills the obligation of requested and/or accepted assignments.
- Able to perform duties autonomously, schedule and meet workload expectations.
- Identify and report to leadership immediately any concerns or issues that places the team, patient, or caregiver at risk.
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
- Assisting and actively participating in the multidisciplinary palliative care team meeting.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Education
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Required Experience
- 1 year in a clinical setting, previous hospital experience and/or physician office experience
- Palliative or Hospice experience preferred
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- Phlebotomist
- CPR
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Customer Service skills and training
- Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
