Currently, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team and be part of the overall success of our event production and catering business. Under general supervision, provides administrative support and assists with general supervision of the kitchen including areas of bakery staff, cooks, dishwashing staff and other staff as requested.They must possess immense personal integrity, mental discipline and a desire to constantly improve.
Assistant Kitchen Manager Essential Responsibilities include:
- Producing Prep/Production lists for events
- Produce ordering
- Maintaining organization in walk-ins
- Prepare foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use
- Support kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness, organization and standards
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Prepare food to standardized recipes and instructions
- Participate in on-site and off-site events

Education and/or Experience:
1. Associates degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete forms accurately and write notes , documentation, routine reports, correspondence, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to interact with diverse personalities and cultures. Ability to effectively communicate information in one -on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Fluent in Spanish is highly preferred, but not required.
