Summary of Position
The Buda Campus Production Director will oversee all aspects of production for our Sunday morning services, ensuring a seamless and engaging worship experience. This role requires expertise in audio, as well as strong skills in volunteer leadership and scheduling. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using technology to enhance worship and have a heart for serving the church community.
Primary Functions
- Oversee all technical aspects of worship services, including sound, lighting, and video.
- Ensure the proper setup and operation of audio, visual, and lighting equipment for all church services
- Participate in weekly service technical Pre-Production Meetings
- Schedule and supervise volunteers for services.
- Work with the Creative Arts Directors and the Campus Pastors to deliver high-quality seamless production to each assigned campus by executing the plan outlined in Planning Center Online (PCO)
- Manage and operate the front of house (FOH) audio system to ensure high-quality sound during worship services.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain and troubleshoot all technical equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
- Manages and updates campus production inventory to the asset management system
- Provides support for outside events (as needed and determined by paid contracts)
- Recruit, train, and lead a volunteer team to assist with technical operations.
- Provide ongoing training and support to ensure the team remains proficient with equipment and software.
- Track and report expenses related to technical operations.
Desired Qualifications/Skills (a strong background in 3 or more skills listed below are required)
- Experience in live audio engineering, audio systems management, and audio repair
- Experience with HD video systems
- Experience leading volunteer teams
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience with researching and/or purchasing systems equipment
Spiritual Criteria
- Must have an intimate and growing relationship with Christ
- Must become a leader at Gateway Church (or be willing to if not currently)
- Model standards and expectations of leaders at Gateway Church
Working Conditions and other information
- Primarily a Sunday schedule, with added responsibilities for holidays and special events as assigned
- 2-4 hours during the week for service meeting/staff meeting/volunteer care.
- Easter Weekend - all hands-on deck
- Christmas- all hands-on deck for our Christmas services and events
- Gateway Throwdown (Super Bowl weekend)- all hands-on deck
- Annual All Staff Retreat- dates are subject to change but typically fall sometime in May
- Annual Leadership huddle- dates are subject to change but typically fall sometime in August
- Attend all functions required of our leadership core (i.e. Leadership Community, etc.)
