Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee information
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Generate reports related to payroll, benefits, and taxes
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role
- Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and benefits administration
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks for payroll processing
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles related to payroll
- Previous experience working with Paychex or similar payroll service provider is preferred
